"In recent years, the North End has become a popular destination for Halifax's growing university population. As the prices of apartments closer to Dalhousie University and Saint Mary's University continue to rise, the students are finding cheaper accommodations in the North End. This has given birth to a thriving artistic community, with many painters, musicians and writers being lured to this colourful section of the city."

Metro Student Living Co-operative is continuously working to secure units throughout the city of Halifax. Our current locations are on Wood Ave, a cul-de-sac of townhouses surrounding a beautiful communal lawn, near a major transit hub and 20-25 minute walk from most of the city's post-secondary education institutions. Other locations should be available in the coming semesters!

COMMITMENT
One of our co-operative principles is economic participation. In becoming a member you are a shareholder of this non-profit co-operative business. Ensuring stability and longevity of the business is a responsibility of all members. Economic participation through housing charges is an essential part of ensuring that we can continue to offer affordable housing for students.
This relationship allows the MSLC to function properly to provide quality housing and for its members and for the longevity of the organization. The payment plan makes it easier for students to make their monthly payment and also ensures the financial viability of the co-operative.
